Contemporary Courtyard Garden

Bel began working with the owners of this bespoke contemporary home back in 2022 when the building work was still ongoing and the clients were looking ahead to the transformation of the grounds which wrap around the property. Having owned a more traditional home and garden before starting on the project they were keen to transition to a modern feel with sleek lines and fresh contemporary planting scheme. The Courtyard is just one part of this project, with the Main Garden, Meadow and Front Entrance yet to be transformed.

Bel created the original plans later that year creating 3D Garden Visuals of the Courtyard Garden, Gravel Garden, Lawns, Meadow and Front Entrance. See the Courtyard visuals below.

Landscaping of the Front Entrance and Courtyard progressed in 2023-25 and we were able to begin installing the hedging along the boundaries and the Courtyard planting in the autumn months, to ensure good establishment. The clients used their preferred contractors who were able to install to Bel’s high standards, giving a clean crisp look and excellent craftmanship. The Courtyard has a series of Corten Steel edged planting beds, which have been planted with specimen multi-stem trees, shrubs, perennials and grasses for a year-round succession of colour, texture and interest. The planting will fill out well over the next couple of years and soften the extensive areas of hard landscaping. Phase 2-3 will be carried out in the following years and we will add more images and information as it happens.
